ANVISA PRORROGA PRAZO PARA NOTIFICAÇÃO DE SUPLEMENTOS E ALIMENTOS PARA CONTROLE DE PESO

A Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária (ANVISA) publicou, em 25 de agosto de 2025, a RDC nº 990/2025, que altera pontos da RDC nº 843/2024 — norma que trata da regularização de alimentos e embalagens no Brasil.

A principal novidade é a prorrogação do prazo para notificação de alguns produtos. Agora, as empresas terão até 1º de setembro de 2026 para notificar:

• Alimentos destinados ao controle de peso;
• Suplementos alimentares que já tenham comunicado o início de fabricação ou importação à autoridade sanitária até a entrada em vigor da RDC nº 843/2024.

Essa mudança traz um fôlego importante para o setor regulado, permitindo que fabricantes e importadores organizem seus processos com mais segurança e reduzam riscos de inconformidade junto ao Sistema Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária (SNVS).

On August 25, 2025, the National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) published RDC No. 990/2025, which amends certain points of RDC No. 843/2024 — the regulation concerning the regularization of foods and packaging in Brazil.

Key Change: Deadline Extension for Notification

The main update is the extension of the deadline for the notification of certain products. Companies now have until September 1, 2026, to notify:

• Weight control foods

• Dietary supplements that have already notified the beginning of manufacturing or importing to the health authority before the entry into force of RDC No. 843/2024.

This change provides significant relief to the regulated sector, allowing manufacturers and importers to better organize their processes with increased security, thereby reducing the risk of non-compliance with the National Health Surveillance System (SNVS).
